In Minecraft, cake is both a lovely decoration and a useful emergency food. I suppose the same can be said in real life! Today, I’m sharing a 3D Minecraft Cake Perler bead pattern so you can have your cake… but in this case, no eating it, too. 😂 Sorry! This cake is for decoration only. Let’s take a look at the pattern:

Materials List
For this 3D build, you’ll need only 114 beads total. That’s a bargain!
Beads:
- 42 white fuse beads (I used Perler white)
- 66 light brown fuse beads (I used Perler tan)
- 6 red fuse beads (I used Perler red)
Equipment:
- Large pegboard (I used a large Perler Pegboard)
- Iron (I’ve used this one for years)
- Parchment paper (the regular stuff works as well as the special Perler sheets!)
- (optional but recommended) Perler Bead Tweezers
How to Make a 3D Minecraft Cake
Create all the pieces for this design on a large pegboard or spread it out over two small pegboards. Just make sure you leave enough space between the pieces so they don’t stick together during ironing!
Top Tip: For any 3D fuse bead creation, melt the beads a little more than you usually would for a flat design. This makes the beads wider, allowing them to connect better and more securely.
Once the beads are completely cooled, it’s time to assemble your 3D cake. Here’s a picture of the final creation:

Doesn’t it look positively (squarely?) delicious? 😊 This cake is just begging for some of our favorite Minecraft critters to gather around and have a picnic. Maybe a 3D bee or allay to zip around in delight. Wouldn’t that be the cutest little picnic ever?
Until next time,
Emily 💖
