Calling all Minecraft fans: Let’s create a custom Minecraft Player Avatar Perler Bead pattern just for you! With only 70–80 beads, you can recreate your in-game character using fuse beads. This pattern is super fun because you can easily change the colors (skin, hair, eyes, clothing) and even hair style to match your preferences and make it completely unique and true to you.

Materials List
For this build, you’ll need only 70–80 beads (depending on hair style) and the usual equipment.
Beads:
- The mixed-bead bucket is great for this project! But if you want some of the lighter skin tones, I recommend picking up this Harry Potter set.
Equipment:
- Large pegboard (I used a large Perler Pegboard)
- Iron (I’ve used this one for years)
- Parchment paper (the regular stuff works as well as the special Perler sheets!)
- (optional but recommended) Perler Bead Tweezers
Minecraft Player Avatar Perler Bead Pattern
You can comfortably fit 6 of these Minecraft player avatars on a single large pegboard. Or you can create one awesome avatar with larger embellishments like a hat, wings, and companions!
I chose to make a cast of characters with fun hair colors and styles. Can you guess which one looks most like my Minecraft avatar? 🧐

Make sure you place a heavy object like a textbook on top of your characters after ironing so your creation(s) stays flat.
Once the beads have cooled down, remove the parchment paper to reveal… your very own Minecraft Player Avatar Perler Bead creation! Use it to decorate your gaming area or attach your character to a magnet to keep on your fridge. In our home, we’re working to make a whole family of Minecraft avatar magnets — these self-adhesive magnets make it super easy!
What do you think — will you be making a Perler bead Minecraft Player Avatar of your own? I’d love to see how it turns out! Share a picture with me on Pinterest or in the comments below.
Until next time,
Emily 💖
